SIMS Foundation Fights Addiction in Austin TX

Lone Star Plate is visiting SIMS Foundation in Austin, the only non-profit in the country that provides comprehensive behavioural healthcare to musicians, industry professionals and their family dependents.

It is a phenomenal place that is reopening in April for working in person with people from the music industry who need support. I met with the Executive Director Patsy Dolan Bouressa, who gave me a tour of the offices and spoke about the invaluable work they are doing.

“We celebrate with music, we mourn with music, and why would you not want to ensure that the individuals who make up that industry are able to continue?” - Patsy Dolan Bouressa
